The Virginia State Bar (VSB) has named Joanna L. Faust its 2011 R. Edwin Burnette Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year. The award was presented on June 17, 2011, at the VSB’s Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach. Ms. Faust has received this award in recognition of her service to the legal profession, including two years as the committee chair for the Young Lawyers Conference’s Docket Call newsletter, and to the community for a range of activities from pro bono work to events aimed at educating children about the law.
